手作りの贈り物

　INNA さんより贈り物が届きました。Amigurumiという編み物のぬいぐるみで、毛糸で編んでぬいぐるみにしていく手芸テクニックです。同志社中学校の校務センターの玄関にあります。「編み物」と「ぬいぐるみ」という言葉の掛け合わせのような言葉で「編みぐるみ」というとのことですが、海外ではすでに「Amigurumi」という言葉が市民権を得ているようです。まさに、ものづくり文化は国境を超え、言葉や文化を共有できることを感じます。また、国や言語の違いを超えて、人々をつなぐ力をもっているのだと感じます。そしてINNAさんは、Amigurumiに同志社のエンブレムを設計してくださいました。編み物をやった経験がある人はわかると思いますが、数学的なパターンのセンスが必要になります。あらかじめ頭の中で設計して、メモとして図にしておく必要があるのです。また、今後ワークショップをできないかと検討中です。INNAさんはウクライナから日本に来られた方で、本校でも学びプロジェクトの講師として海外の文化を伝えてくれています。

　最近は、Daily Life Scenery（https://www.youtube.com/@daily.life.scenery）というチャンネルで京都の良さを発信されています。画面越しに映し出される光景は、私たちにとって見慣れた景色であっても、海外の人々には新鮮に映ります。その視点の違いこそが、文化を共有する面白さなのではないでしょうか。

Amigurumi Gift from INNA

We received a wonderful gift from Ms. INNA, one of our Learning Project lecturers. She made an Amigurumi, a handmade stuffed toy created by crocheting yarn. The word comes from “ami” (knitting) and “nuigurumi” (stuffed toy), and it has already gained recognition worldwide as “Amigurumi.” This shows how the culture of making things can cross borders and connect people.

INNA even designed an Amigurumi with the Doshisha emblem, which requires careful planning and mathematical patterns. We are now considering future workshops with her.
